iTunes Apple Store: Billion songs

On July of 2005 a woman called Amy Greer of Lafayette (Indiana-USA) wons 10 iPods, a Gold 10.000-song Gift Card and four Coldplay concert tickets. Amy Greer only has purchased Mississipi Girl song by Faith Hill, the 500 millionth song of iTunes Apple Store. But that was not the only gift of Apple Store, because the purchaser of every 100.000th song up to 500 million recieved an iPod mini in the colour of his choice and 50-son iTunes Music Store gift card.


Now iTunes Apple Store wants to celebrate with his users the first billion songs! Then in Apple website there is an iTunes Music Store Billion Songs Countdown. Meanwhile I'm writting this post, the Billion Songs Countdown of iTunes Apple Store is 952,552,792 and its progression is very quick.

Then the music fans who download every 100,000th song from iTunes will receive a prize package featuring a black 4GB iPod nano and a $100 iTunes Music Card. And the lucky grand-prize winner who downloads the billionth song from the iTunes Music Store, he will receive a 20-inch iMac, ten 60GB iPods, and a $10,000 iTunes Music Card to jumpstart your digital music collection.

The Unofficial Apple weblog tuaw.com posted about iTunes Billion songs countdown and no purchase is necessary to win the first gift, simply fill out a form to enter.
