This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Luis shows us how it is possible to convert large databases into colored maps of the city. He uses data like population density, house pricing, educational level, foursquare valuations, spending habits, company turnover, etc. His talk is a good example how to convert big data into easy to understand figures and how to take conclusions out of it.

Data specialist Luis Falcón is leading his company inAtlas where he uses and analyzes various data sources and maps them using color maps. Luis has a Master in Strategic Planning from the Berlage Institute, Rotterdam, a degree in Architect and Urban Planning from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - ULPGC. He was the Director of Investigation and Systems and the graduate professor at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia. Prior to inAtlas, Luis was the Director of Urban Consultancy and Strategic Planning at Intelligent Coast SL for six years.
