The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the world as we know it. While you watch this talk via the Internet, Priscilla Chomba Kinywa reflects on what it would have meant to shelter-in-place without the internet. She also challenges you to consider how people without access to the Internet live their lives every day and especially now when many people, companies, and countries have moved online. Priscilla Chomba Kinywa is a Digital Transformation Strategist and ICT4D expert, with experience in technology and innovation spanning 19 years and in over 50 countries on five continents. She spent the first twelve years of her career in the United Nations, working with WFP and later UNICEF to deliver life-saving interventions that relied on the power of technology. She has also worked with large international non-profits to help them understand how to use technology to solve some of humanity’s most pressing global challenges and is always keen to support individuals and organisations that want to combine innovative thinking and technology to ‘do good better’.
