Hace unos meses os explicaba en el post BB-8 App-Enabled Droid - Star Wars (by Sphero) que había salido a la venta un gadget en forma de robot BB8 teledirigido desde una app de iOS iPhone / iPad.

Pues bien, vía el artículo How BB-8 Works (by TechCrunch.com) os muestro cómo funciona este robot BB-8 basado en la última entrega de la saga, Star Wars VII : The Force Awakens.

En concreto el siguiente vídeo de TechCrunch cuenta con el CCO de Sphero, Rob Maigret, para explicar cómo funciona el gadget BB-8 de Sphero que recrea a un robot protagonista en la nueva entrega de Star Wars

Straight from the new Star Wars movie, BB-8 is an app-enabled Droid with a personality all its own. BB-8 recognizes and reacts to your voice. You can drive or let him explore the surroundings. To be clear, this BB-8 isn’t as big as the one depicted on-screen, and it probably won’t be quite as smart or independent. But hey, it’s a Star Wars droid that you can control from your smartphone or tablet, which is pretty freaking cool.
