Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls (by Gartner)

Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls (by Gartner - May 2016)

LEADERS: Palo Alto Networks, Check Point Software Technologies
CHALLENGERS: Fortinet, Cisco
VISIONAIRES: no
NICHE PLAYERS: Juniper Networks, Dell SonicWALL, Sophos, Barracuda Networks, Forcepoint, WatchGuard, Forcepoint, HilstoneNetworks, Sangfor, Huawei, AhnLab, Stormshield.

El estudio Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Network Firewalls (by Gartner) fue realizado por los analistas de Gartner: Adam Hils, Jeremy D'Hoinne, Rajpreet Kaur, Greg Young.

Summary: "Next generation" capability has been achieved by the products in the network firewall market, and vendors differentiate on feature strengths. Buyers must consider the trade-offs between best-of-breed function and costs.

Strategic Planning Assumptions: Virtualized versions of enterprise network safeguards will reach 10% of market revenue by year-end 2019, up from less than 5% today.

Less than 50% of enterprise internet connections today are secured using next-generation firewalls (NGFWs). By year-end 2019, this will rise to at least 90% of the installed base.

By 2018, 85% of new deals for network sandboxing functionality will be packaged with network firewall and content security platforms.
